Clients of ESUPERFUND can invest in Warrants. All Warrants must be bought and sold using Comsec or via a Prospectus.
BUYING Warrants for your SMSF
All Warrant Trades must be made using Comsec. When you BUY Warrants the Trade is settled from the proceeds in your ANZ V2 Plus Account. Therefore you must ensure that you have enough cleared Funds in your ANZ V2 Plus Account to cover the cost of the Trade. Importantly the Funds are accessed by Comsec automatically to settle trades. It could not be easier.
SELLING Warrants for your SMSF
All Warrant Trades must be made using Comsec. When you SELL Warrants the Settlement Proceeds are deposited into your ANZ V2 Plus Account.
Warrants Trading Pack
Priot to being able to BUY and SELL Warrants with Comsec you must complete an ASX Warrants Client Agreement and Risk Disclosure Form. The process is as follows:
Step 1 - You will need to download and read the ASX document "Understanding Trading & Investing Warrants". This document can be found here.
Step 2 - You will need to download the Comsec Warrants Trading Pack which includes an ASX Warrants Client Agreement and Risk Disclosure Form. This document can be found here.
Step 3 - You will need to sign the ASX Warrants Client Agreement and Risk Disclosure Form and return it to Comsec at:

Warrants Application via Prospectus Clients of ESUPERFUND can alternatively invest in Warrants via Prospectus (this includes all equity warrants such as self funding instalment warrants). In this case clients simply need to complete the Prospectus Application for the Warrants and lodge the Application with the Issuer of the Warrants.
Record Keeping For all Trades executed using the Comsec Platform, ESUPERFUND receive electronic confirmation of all Trades your SMSF makes, so no records are required from you each year as we already have access to them. Importantly the information we receive is only transaction data and we have absolutely no access on your Account.
