Our 2018 Financial Year Online Checklist is currently being released in stages, we appreciate your patience during this time.
In this issue, we address frequently asked questions regarding the Online Checklist. We hope that this will be of
great assistance to you when completing the Online Checklist. Next, we introduce you to some updates we have
made to the 2018 Online Checklist. In addition, we inform you about updates to some of the Contribution webpages
on the ESUPERFUND website. Finally, we advise you of new retirement and pension related pages we launched on
the ESUPERFUND website as well as in your Client Portal.

We have started releasing the 2018 Checklist in stages and will continue with the release until the end of August.
We appreciate your patience in the meantime. If you have any technical issues with the Checklist, please submit
a query to us via the
Inbox. Please also remember to check your Inbox frequently as we will communicate the release of the Checklist
to you via the Inbox.
Yes. You are still required to complete the Annual Checklist to confirm that your Fund had no activity for the 2018
Financial Year. This enables our office to lodge a Return Not Required Notification with the Australian Taxation
No. We advise that you are required to upload all the required documentation before submitting the Checklist. Accordingly,
please upload the required documentation once it becomes available in order to proceed with the Checklist completion
Once you have submitted the Online Checklist it will be placed in a queue and when available an accountant will complete
the Annual Compliance Documentation for your Fund.
The accountant will review the information and supporting documentation provided by you and should we require further
information you will be contacted via a message to your Inbox.
Upon completion, you will be notified that the Annual Compliance Documentation is ready for review and signing via
a message to your Inbox.
The average completion time is 3 to 4 months from the day you submit the Online Checklist, depending on your Fund’s
circumstances. However, if your Checklist is submitted in the peak season (mid-September - October), the waiting
period may exceed 4 months due to the increased number of Checklists received during that time.
If you have not received any communications from our office within 4 months of submitting your Checklist, please
do not hesitate to contact our office.
We advise that you cannot amend the Checklist after submission. If you would like to make changes, please simply
provide the updated information to our office via the "Additional Information" function which can be found at
the end of the 2018 Online Checklist.

We have now made the Annual Checklist easier for you to locate in the navigation bar of your Client Portal. Once
you click on “Annual Checklist” in the navigation bar, you will be prompted to complete each step before moving
on to the next. This ensures that you complete each section progressively without missing information or documents.
This year, we will collect data from you as the first step of the 2018 Online Checklist under the new
tab. The "Data Collection" step gathers data for your SMSF including Bank and Term Deposit transactions, Broker Trades and
so on. It should be noted that you will only be required to provide data to us for accounts that are not linked
to ESUPERFUND. For accounts that are linked to us, we will display the data we have received for you to view.
We continue to improve the Online Checklist to provide you with a better user experience and to ensure that the Annual
Compliance requirements are completed as efficiently as possible.

PAPERLESS design of the retirement application page allows you to complete your retirement application
